Bouquets is a biennial floral design and entertaining symposium hosted by The Shreveport Garden Study Club. The event brings together garden club members, designers, florists and authors to showcase magnificent floral creations and imaginative table designs. Proceeds benefit the club’s civic projects, which have included the restoration and maintenance of Greenwood Cemetery – featuring an educational pavilion, pond, pollinator garden and fountain – as well as student field trips to explore this historic site.

Speaker Bio

The Shreveport Garden Study Club is delighted to announce that Lydia Menzies will be the featured speaker for our biennial fundraiser, Bouquets.

Lydia is celebrated for her swoon-worthy tablescapes and her gift for bringing people together around beautifully styled tables. She believes that hospitality is more than presentation — it is about creating joy, belonging, and memorable connections among guests.

As the 2025 Contributing Editor for Southern Lady magazine and creator of The Supper Club community, Lydia inspires thousands of hostesses and creatives to find beauty in everyday gatherings. She is also the author of the newly released lifestyle book, The Supper Club with Lydia Menzies, a stunning coffee table book filled with year-round entertaining ideas.

Her work has been featured in Southern Living, BuzzFeed, Good Housekeeping, Pop Sugar, and more. She has styled for beloved brands including Martha Stewart for Staples, Breyers Ice Cream, Square, Mattel, Body Armor, and Netflix star Julie McAllister.

We invite you to join us at Bouquets for an inspiring day at East Ridge Country Club. The Bouquets Bazaar opens at 10:00 a.m., followed by Lydia’s demonstration at 11:00 a.m. A light lunch will be served, and a cash bar will be available. This special event is chaired by Laura Batson and Ashley Hancock, whose leadership ensures a memorable experience for all.
